MNA Mission: Protect and Improve the Quality of Life for All Who Live and Work in Midtown
Midtown Neighborhood Association was founded in 1991 as the Winn Park Capitol Avenue Neighborhood Association to bring residents’ concerns to city leadership and give citizens a voice on issues in their neighborhood. In 2008 the association changed its name. MNA was instrumental in creating the Residential Permit Parking Program ensuring parking priority for residents, and continues to be a voice for preservation of disappearing historic buildings. MNA advocates for residents and maintains an avenue for neighbors and businesses to present concerns about health & safety, traffic, parking, crime, absentee landlords, adverse impacts from poorly managed residential and commercial ventures including an overconcentration of nightlife, and other issues affecting the entire urban core.
